Tyra's professional experience includes working at the New Birth Company in Overland Park, KS, where she provided full-scope midwifery care and supported numerous births. She also served as a Birth Center Nurse, facilitating natural births and caring for postpartum couples. Her prior role as a Registered Nurse at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, provided her with diverse experiences in Med-Surg and Women's Services units, further enriching her skills and knowledge.

Tyra's approach to midwifery encompasses everything she loves about birth: hands-on support, education, and promoting physiological birth. She views midwifery not just as a job but as a privilege, embodying a compassionate and patient-centered philosophy in her practice.

Outside of her professional life, Tyra enjoys reading, serving her church family, taking walks with her dog, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Her dedication to her community and personal interests reflects her well-rounded and nurturing nature, both in her personal and professional life.

Tyra (Tear-uh) Ruisinger, a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, has dedicated her career to nursing and midwifery with passion and commitment. She began her journey in healthcare in 2018 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Tyra's dedication to women's health and maternal care led her to further her education, achieving her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2022.

With a rich background in nursing and midwifery, Tyra has provided comprehensive care to women, including prenatal support, family planning, and women's health education. Her expertise in promoting physiological birth and hands-on support has been instrumental in her role as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Before joining KC Full Circle Midwifery, she delivered over 120 babies, reflecting her deep commitment to providing exceptional midwifery care.
